Bona Lisa shows the beauty of an animal from the inside out. She has her favourite acacia leaves and her hearts show the blood pumping through her body. As a primary pollinator, she is adorned with flowers, and her bright colours make her stand out from the crowd.
Lena Kibbler has lived and worked in Dundee and Angus since 1976. Lena attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art specialising in textile design. She is a retired Art teacher who now has the time and opportunity to use her design roots to inspire and enhance her work which is created in mixed media. She is a lover of strong colours and detailed work which she combines to create unusual and individual pieces of art. Most of her work is based on the beauty of nature and natural forms. Lena works in mixed medium and experiments with different forms to achieve different results and effects. Recent works have been on show in Dunkeld and The Meffan, Dundee Botanics and Arbroath. Lena designed Mr. Sofishticated for the Maggie’s Penguin Parade and Florilla for the Go Wild Gorillas and Silverella for Worcester’s Big Parade, Mechanicowl for the big hoot and Elio for Gogo discover projects.
