Design Inspiration

This design is a celebration of Scotland’s national flower. Adorned with stylised stalks of prickly thistles and golden honeycomb, the sculpture is abuzz with big furry bumble bees. The artist has been inspired by traditional woodcut prints which are referenced in the deep purple line work embellished with a rich gold metallic paint.
