Printwell go head and shoulders above for wildlife conservation

Printwell, a high-quality print company based in Airdrie, has joined the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) Edinburgh Zoo as printing partner for the Giraffe About Town trail.

With four months to go, the public art event will see more than 40 eight-foot-tall giraffe sculptures go on display across Edinburgh in summer 2022. Each model will be designed and decorated by local artists and community groups, later being auctioned to raise funds vital to support RZSS’s wildlife conservation work in Scotland and around the world.

Printwell offer a full range of print options from multi-colour to single-colour litho, and will be printing the public maps for the trail, available at Edinburgh Zoo and in a special giveaway in Edinburgh Evening News when the trail launches.

David Field, RZSS CEO, said, “It is wonderful to welcome another amazing company on board for Giraffe About Town.

“Printwell’s top quality means our maps will be a great tool for trail-goers to follow our giraffes around the city and a lovely keepsake once the event ends.”

Maureen Robertson, director at Printwell Colour Printers, said, “We are delighted to be part of the incredible Giraffe About Town trail.

“The project will be a great way for people from all over Scotland and visitors from other parts of the world to enjoy exploring our capital, whilst raising awareness of the wonderful conservation work done by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.”

The organisation join Giraffe About Town presenting partner Glenmorangie, learning partner Essential Edinburgh, community partner CityFibre and more as official supporters of the event.
